How to convert a VMware machine into a Hyper-V machine?

How to convert a VMware machine into a Hyper-V machine?

I have a HTTP server in VMware Workstation. But now I want to move it into Hyper-V. It's difficult to deploy a new one with users' data.

So, could you tell me how to do it.

    thank you.

    Hello,

I've done exactly the same last weekend and it's pretty easy:

    • Uninstall VMware tools
    • Shutdown your VMware HTTP Server
    • Convert it using the Converter ( http://vmtoolkit.com/files/folders/converters/entry8.aspx )
    • Create a new Virtual PC in Hyper-V and when you can select to create a new Harddisk or to use an existing, select the last option and choose the converted Diskfile
    • In the Options of the Virtual PC select a legacy network card as long as there are no drivers for the "normal" network card available
    • Boot the new PC et voilĂ , you've done it
    • Pay me 10000 bucks :)
    Hope 'helped
